Correctional Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform med passes, assessments, and health screenings for inmates.
• Collaborate with security staff to ensure safety protocols during healthcare operations.

• Support emergency response procedures and assist with infirmary duties during shifts.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with a valid state license.
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Tennessee.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Basic wound care or first aid certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• 2+ years of corrections or psychiatric healthcare experience.
• Experience working in a secure facility or detention setting.
• Demonstrated ability to perform med passes and manage inmate health needs.
• Ability to work 7p-7a night shifts with 36/48-hour rotating schedules, including every other weekend.
• Strong security awareness and compliance with facility protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
