Legal Counsel PositionQualifications:Possession of Juris Doctor Degree from a NYS school or regionally accredited law schoolAttorney admitted to practice in NYSExperience and/or education in public sector labor law, education law, collective bargaining and human resources preferredDuties:Work with component districts on labor, employment and education law issues;Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements;Analyze regional data for wages and benefits and draft comparable reports;Serve as hearing officer in student discipline hearings;Assist with employee issues, including conducting investigations;Keep up to date on legal issues in the field and apprise districts of changes;Represent school districts in grievances, PERB actions; and certain administrative matters.Performs other related duties as required.Location:Genesee Valley BOCES-LeRoy, NYSalary:$95,000-$105,000-Full time with benefits and NYS PensionStarting date:ASAP Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District
