Cafe Barista

Responsibilities Assist in the smooth daily operation of Henderson’s Café located within the UVM Bookstore. Perform opening and closing duties on a set schedule, routinely prepare coffee and specialty drinks, operate a cash register, maintain café systems and displays, supervise student employees, and provide excellent customer service to customers and visitors. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma required. Understanding of basic retail practices and computer operations. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and training, fostering a collaborative multicultural environment. Desirable Qualifications Familiarity with retail sales and operations. Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or café. Anticipated Pay Range 18.50–19.10 USD per hour. Other Information Must be able to work some weekends, evenings, and occasional university holidays with occasional overtime. Special Conditions Probationary period may be required. Occasional evening and/or weekend work required. Not eligible for telework due to essential functions. Background check required. Union Position Union position; UE minimum hourly rate of $18.50.
