Warehouse Box Truck Driver (2nd shift)

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Box Truck Driver to support transportation and delivery of materials, equipment, and products to internal and external customers. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a box truck to ensure timely, accurate, and secure deliveries while complying with all safety, DOT, and company requirements. This position plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck to deliver and pick up materials, equipment, and products according to scheduled routes and customer requirements. Load and unload materials using appropriate material handling equipment while ensuring proper securement to prevent damage during transport. Verify shipments by checking quantities, part numbers, and delivery documentation to ensure accuracy. Maintain professional communication with customers and internal teams during deliveries and pickups. Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; report vehicle issues, defects, or maintenance needs promptly. Complete delivery logs, bills of lading, proof of delivery, and other required transportation documentation accurately and on time. Adhere to DOT regulations, traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times. Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required for box truck operation). Previous box truck, delivery, or commercial driving experience preferred. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or lift gates. Basic computer or mobile device skills for logging deliveries and documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical & Environmental Demands May require driving for extended periods, frequent entering and exiting the vehicle, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in warehouse, production, and outdoor environments. Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, traffic, and industrial environments. Flexibility to work different shifts or overtime as needed.
