Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology position requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT VI certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures unit
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required every 6th weekend
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Uses fluoroscopy (Philips), CT, and ultrasound equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent IR experience within the last 7 years
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT VI certification preferred
• MD state license or compact license required if applicable
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in interventional radiology and special procedures including angiography, embolization, biopsy, catheter/drain placement, and vascular access procedures
• Experience with EKG lead placement and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias preferred
• Proficient in sterile technique, infection control, and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, monitoring, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field during procedures
• Performs a wide range of procedures including abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, and vascular studies
• Flu vaccine required for all employees
• Scrubs provided
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Returning MedStar staff must have a minimum one-year separation before eligibility
