Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician OpportunityPhysician opportunity in Emergency Medicine at Gulf Coast Medical Center, part of Lee Health - Locums. Coverage period from Jan 01, 2027 to Jun 30, 2027. Shifts are 10 hours long, either from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.Patients can expect an average daily volume of about two patients per hour, totaling 18-20 per shift. The case mix includes high acuity adult and pediatric cases, with APP assistance available.Requirements include board certification in Emergency Medicine, an active Florida medical license, and ATLS certification. Other qualifications include a clear NPBD, an up-to-date CV, and a Lee Attestation form.Duties involve providing immediate recognition, evaluation, care, stabilization, and disposition of adult and pediatric patients in response to acute illness and injury. Work 10-hour shifts in the main ED with APP assistance; no supervision of APPs required. Complete all ED patient care before leaving shift; no overtime or call responsibilities. Potentially float to LMH or HPMC for urgent coverage (unlikely). Adhere to Florida law requiring ATLS certification and maintain an active Florida medical license.
