AI Oncology Portfolio Lead (Director)

Director-level strategic scientific leader needed to integrate AI and advanced analytics into Pfizer's Oncology Research portfolio strategy. This individual contributor role bridges cutting-edge AI capabilities with oncology R&D expertise to inform pipeline prioritization and resource allocation decisions across discovery through preclinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Continuously analyze oncology research portfolio using AI/ML tools to assess scientific strength and strategic fit
• Develop data-driven portfolio strategies and scenario analyses for leadership and governance committees
• Integrate AI-derived insights into project discussions to support evidence-based decision-making
• Collaborate across discovery, translational, clinical, and business functions to synthesize cross-domain data
• Champion AI adoption in R&D strategy and stay current with emerging technologies and industry practices

Requirements

• PhD in oncology, molecular biology, pharmacology, or computational biology
• 5+ years applying AI/ML to drug discovery, scenario modeling, and data visualization
• 10+ years pharmaceutical or biotech R&D experience including discovery, development, and strategy roles
• Deep knowledge of drug discovery across small molecules, biologics, and ADCs
• Proven ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders
• Experience leading cross-functional collaborations and influencing without direct authority
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills

Compensation: $176,600–$294,300 base salary, plus 20% bonus target and long-term incentive eligibility
