Semiconductor Manufacturing Technician MACOM is seeking a self‑motivated and enthusiastic semiconductor manufacturing Technician for our Wafer Fab operations. The Manufacturing Technician will report to the manufacturing team and perform specific manufacturing tasks on the production floor. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of functions in the production of semiconductor devices in a cleanroom (class 1000 and class 10000) environment. Set‑up, operate, load, and monitor specialized equipment to ensure quality products are produced. Monitor equipment operation, inspect final product, clean the work environment, and perform data entry. Execute daily planning goals for operation. Multi‑task effectively. Run multiple tools. Handle semiconductor wafers and die in cleanroom environments (Class 1000 and Class 10000). Be familiar with FOD, contamination, and ESD management. Use digital and optical microscopes and other wafer/die inspection tools. Understand wafer, microelectronic, and hybrid assembly processes and related manufacturing processes. Use ERP, shop‑floor control, and automated tracking tools to monitor daily production. Understand process flow and areas of impact. Work independently with minimal instruction on daily tasks. Receive general instructions on new processes. Required Qualifications and Experience High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years prior manufacturing experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication. Ability to sit or stand for 12 hours at a time with flexibility to work day or night shifts for training purposes. Work the night shift (6 pm‑6 am). Compressed work week. Solid computer and math skills. Comfortable working with automated equipment. Good communication skills, both written and oral; ability to read and write effectively. Comfortable working around chemicals. Multi‑task with a detail‑oriented approach. Wear cleanroom gowns and/or proper safety personal protective equipment. Great work ethic and ability to work well with others. General knowledge of electronics manufacturing with a strong aptitude and interest in working with automated and manual assembly equipment and the communication skills required to work with engineering.
