divh2Enterprise Payments, Payments Governance Advisor - Hybrid/h2pThe Enterprise Payments Governance and Oversight (EPGO) team is seeking a dynamic Manager-level Payments Governance Advisor who will provide effective end-to-end payments oversight and risk management across Capital One. This team is tasked with executing governance and oversight of payments strategy, operations, and risk management for the payment types utilized across the enterprise./ppIn this role, you will be at the forefront of payments risk management, supporting solutions to advise and remediate some of the biggest payments-related challenges. You will act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to key stakeholders across all Lines of Business to champion a strong first line risk culture, including Senior Leaders and colleagues across Operations, Risk Management, and Product./ppYou will work with smart, talented people who will challenge you to excel as you become responsible for building, maintaining and continuously improving best in class subject matter expertise of payments risk management./ppGeneral Responsibilities/pulliAdvisory ulliPartner with stakeholders to understand business use cases that impact payments. Influence and advise partners on risk mitigation strategies, including controls, testing, policies, procedures by utilizing Enterprise risk framework standards/li/ul/liliEnsure Risk Mitigation Controls ulliDocument and manage E2E payments use case inventory and supporting lines of business in demonstrating adherence to payment risk policy standards/liliPerform enterprise risk assessments of new or modified payments use cases/liliLeverage knowledge of the payments industry and risk management strategies to strengthen internal controls/li/ul/liliGovernance Oversight ulliIdentify and remediate payments related Issues in partnership with Business Risk owners/liliWork across the Enterprise to ensure consistent risk management across payment types, maintain or improve on policies and procedures to ensure corporate, regulatory and industry standards/liliContribute and lead Monthly or Quarterly business reviews across lines of business/li/ul/liliContinuous Improvement ulliIdentify risk trends and propose new controls, processes or approaches to mitigate those risks./liliLeverage story telling and strategy to highlight opportunities for improvement around risk culture, risk identification, knowledge, and process across the Enterprise./liliEngage in payments-related projects and process initiatives to support governance and oversight activities/li/ul/li/ulpIdeal Candidate/pulliAbility to build relationships across different seniority levels and business units to influence risk strategies/liliAnalytical mindset to support risk analysis and problem solving/liliExcellence in spotting connections or patterns across disparate data sets to identify and communicate trends. Experience recommending processes or approaches in support of trends/liliTeam-focused, with demonstrated strong relationship-building and collaboration skills/liliExceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build consensus among diverse stakeholders/liliExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills/li/ulpLocation: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office and the remainder of the week working virtually./ppBasic Qualifications/pulliAssociates Degree or Military Experience/liliAt least 3 years of experience in risk management, audit or governance/liliAt least 3 years experience in the banking or financial industry/liliAt least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal and external stakeholders/liliAt least 2 years of project or process management experience/liliAt least 2 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliBachelors Degree/liliAt least 5 years of experience in risk management/liliAt least 5 years of project management experience leading cross functional projects and programs/liliAt least 1 year of risk analysis or data manipulation experience/liliAt least 3 years of experience managing senior stakeholders/liliAt least 3 years of experience working in payments/liliAt least 3 years of people leadership experience/liliAt least 4 years of process management experience/liliAccredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification or Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) certification/li/ulpAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position./ppThe minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked./ppMcLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Risk ManagerRichmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Risk Manager/ppCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter./ppThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
