About the Position

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: ICU, Med Surg, ER, NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Respiratory Therapy credentials Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU - NICU skills for proficiency in the unit - Strong time management skills in heavy load situations - Experience managing Bipaps, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units - Assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopy - Proficient in EMR charting Description: The unit is a 160-bed facility with a total of 32 staff members. Minimum day shift staff is 5-6, while night shift staff ranges from 4-4.5. The patient-to-staff ratio follows an RVU system. Equipment includes PB vents, Drager V500, Aerogon s, V60 Bipap, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport, Oscillator, Jet, NITRIC, and Bubble CPAP. The EMR system used is EPIC. Candidates will be considered first if they possess preferred skills and experiences. Typical procedures performed in the unit include ICU/CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care. The ideal candidate will be independent, self-motivating, and willing to work in a Level 3 NICU. The dress code requires scrubs in pewter gray.
