Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant in a long-term acute care (LTAC) travel assignment located in Waterville, Maine. Target start date 08/10/2026 for a 13-week contract with a weekly pay range of $1,489–$1,584 and guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shift is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This assignment is in a LTAC setting and involves travel as a temporary engagement with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising physical therapist in implementing plans of care for LTAC patients
- Lead or support therapeutic activities, including gait training, balance, strength, and range-of-motion exercises
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and document progress and outcomes in the chart
- Prepare and apply treatment modalities as directed by the supervising PT and ensure proper equipment setup
- Promote patient safety during transfers, ambulation, and functional activities
- Maintain clean treatment areas, manage equipment, and adhere to infection control and documentation standards

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license (or eligibility) per state regulations
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program (associate degree)
- Experience in LTAC or long-term care settings preferred
- Ability to work 8.5-hour shifts in a travel assignment and adapt to a LTAC environment
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with the PT team
- Eligible to work in the United States and willing to travel for this assignment
