Description Senior Structural Bridge Project Manager Role Description: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Senior Structural Project Manager (Bridge) PE at our Dallas or Austin office . This full-time Senor Structural Project Manager position is within our transportation group and should have a min of 10 years of Project Management experience with structural clients. Must be registered in Texas as a Professional Engineer. Location: Dallas, or Austin, Texas Employment Type: 40 FT Hours Compensation Type: Salary Registration(s): Registered Professional Engineer (PE License) Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) Duties: Work as a member of multi-discipline project team in the design and development of projects. Collaborate with, and act as a resource for, Huitt-Zollars in a multi-discipline office. This includes conducting meetings with clients, internal disciplines and or contractors and their subs. Design and analyze structural systems for low-to high-rise buildings. Coordinate and delegate tasks between multiple disciplines and attend regular meetings. Effectively mentor young engineers and assist in their development. Assist and work with senior staff to develop project budgets and proposed fees. Review shop drawings, perform field inspections, and facilitate the construction administration process. Demonstrate competency in all project phases. Perform quality reviews of engineering plans for completeness and engineering accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE), Master’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (MSCE) is a plus. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in State of Texas. Min of 10 years of experience, including project management Ability to obtain license in other states. Proficient with TxDOT design practice and guidelines highly preferred. Rail bridge design experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with relevant technology/software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, RISA, STADD. Passionate about transportation and major highway design projects. Ability to work / lead in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Senior Project Manager (SPM) Role Annual Performance Goals & Expectations: Having a deep understanding of how your work and contributions as a co-owner add to Huitt-Zollars’ mission and core values. Maintaining expected Effective Labor Multiplier (ELM) on sum of all associated projects. Consistently upholds business processes including timely monthly A/R’s, invoicing, timekeeping, resource forecasting, percent completes, etc. Achieves personal sales goal. Achieves stated target personal utilization goal for SPM. Understands, follows and ensures quality control measures and risk management measures are being applied and adhered to projects and daily operations.
