Respiratory Therapist
LifeBridge Health
LifeBridge Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our regional healthcare organization in Maryland. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across the continuum of care, including acute care hospitals, specialty centers, and community-based settings. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care treatments for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medication delivery, chest physiotherapy, ventilator management, and arterial blood gas sampling and analysis. You will monitor patients’ responses to therapy, adjust care plans based on clinical status and established protocols, and communicate timely and accurate information to the healthcare team. You will support emergency response efforts, including rapid response and code situations, providing airway management, ventilatory support, and other life-support measures as needed. You will contribute to patient and family education by explaining respiratory conditions, treatments, equipment use (such as inhalers, nebulizers, and home oxygen), and strategies for disease management and prevention. You will document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. As a valued member of LifeBridge Health, you will participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection control practices, and evidence-based protocols aimed at enhancing patient safety, outcomes, and overall experience. This position is well-suited for a clinician who values collaboration, innovation, and community engagement. You will have opportunities for professional growth through participation in continuing education, cross-training in specialty areas such as critical care or neonatal/pediatric care (depending on assignment), and involvement in departmental projects. LifeBridge Health’s culture emphasizes compassionate patient care and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of diverse patient populations across our Maryland communities. Applicants should bring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required to meet patient care needs. In return, LifeBridge Health offers a supportive environment with opportunities for career advancement, professional development, and the chance to make a lasting impact on patients and families every day.
