About the Position

Job Title: CT/X-Ray Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: Computed Tomography (CT) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 10 hours (Saturday/Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM) Experience: 2+ years current CT Tech experience in a hospital setting, 2+ years current X-Ray Tech experience in a hospital setting License: New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Clienttion Therapy License (active) Certifications: American Heart Association BLS (active), American Registration of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (active) Must-Have: Proficiency in Fluoroscopy, Digital Radiography, Portables, OR C-arm; experience with all age groups Description: This is a CT/X-Ray Tech position. Traveler must have high proficiency in both specialties. The technologist positions patients on the examining table and adjusts immobilization devices as needed to obtain optimum views of the specified area of the body requested by the physician. Must be capable of completing all routine diagnostic procedures. Moves radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance. Operates film processing equipment. Operates mobile radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment in the operating room, emergency room, or at the patient's bedside. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Ability to prioritize and organize daily workflow. Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills are required. Basic computer skills are necessary. Dress code includes hospital blue scrubs (provided) and business casual with a lab coat; personal scrubs should be basic and plain. No hooded sweatshirts are allowed. Closed-toe shoes, such as sneakers or clogs, are required. Hair should be worn pulled back if longer than shoulder length, and dangling earrings are not permitted. Requests for time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified during the application process. No more than five days of time off will be accepted.
