Job Summary As a Fiber Splice Technician, you will serve as the technical lead in the field, performing fiber splicing, testing, activation, troubleshooting, and documentation activities. Key Responsibilities Perform end-to-end splicing on aerial and underground fiber optic cables. Use OTDRs, power meters, and light‑level testing equipment. Diagnose splice loss, attenuation, and network issues. Interpret blueprints, splice diagrams, and technical documentation. Create accurate as‑built documentation. Ensure compliance with safety protocols. Manage daily production reports and material reconciliation. Maintain organized inventories of tools and hardware. Communicate professionally with property owners and residents. Qualifications Experience with fusion splicing and fiber architecture. Experience with Google Earth, EXFO/OTDR software, and spreadsheets. Ability to read splice matrices and technical PDFs. Ability to perform aerial and underground field work. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass drug screening and background check. Authorized to work in the United States.
