The North Star is seeking an Assistant Bookstore Manager
This role helps lead the bookstore--overseeing daily operations, managing inventory and ordering, assisting with programming and creating a thoughtful, engaging experience for customers.
You’ll work on the floor making recommendations and supporting sales, while keeping the space organized and well-merchandised. You’ll also coordinate ordering and vendor relationships, support events, and help ensure the bookstore runs smoothly day to day. You must be obsessed with quality and the customer experience, making every customer encounter memorable.
Qualifications:
– 2–4+ years experience in a bookstore
– Strong knowledge of books and enthusiasm for literary culture
– Experience with inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
– Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
– Must take as the highest priority customer experience and service, quality and attention to detail
