Assessing the learning of students by utilizing formal and informal assessment strategies. Use assessment and observational data to develop and implement strategies to improve student learning Supervising students in and out of the classroom. Build interpersonal relationships with peers to become part of a team that holds student achievement and well being a highest priority. Qualifications BS Degree Missouri Teaching Certificate or the ability to get certification through Missouri DESE. Experience working with young adults. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well with others. Ability to pass a Missouri Highway Patrol background check. The Maries R-1 School District is located in South Central Missouri, approximately 40 miles southeast of Jefferson City, our state capitol.The school is located in the city of Vienna and is comprised of one school campus housing the elementary school (Pre-K through 5thgrade), the middle school (6ththrough 8thgrades), and the high school (9ththrough 12 grade).Our school district covers approximately 327 square miles (27 largest out of 516 districts in the state in square miles)made up of mainly woodlands and farm land.
