QA/QC Engineer/Manager (Hybrid position)
Summary
The QA/QC Engineer/Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing quality assurance and quality control programs for utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role ensures construction activities meet quality standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements while minimizing project risks and ensuring successful project handover.
Key responsibilities include establishing QA/QC systems and KPIs, reviewing Contractor Quality Plans (PQPs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), conducting site inspections, overseeing subcontractor work, managing quality documentation, issuing non-conformance reports (NCRs), and coordinating corrective actions. The position also involves monitoring the installation of PV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, BESS equipment, civil works, and related infrastructure.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 5 years of experience in utility-scale solar and BESS projects. Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspection procedures, ISO 9001 standards, and construction quality documentation is required. The role requires frequent travel, site-based work, and the ability to work weekends when needed. Spanish language skills are a plus.
