Key Responsibilities

• Under immediate to general supervision, delivers entry-level specialized radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations across a variety of care settings including acute inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic/urgent care environments.
• Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered procedures prior to imaging.
• Utilizes specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines.
• Conducts post-procedure review to confirm all required elements are completed, documented, and that technical quality meets department protocols and applicable accreditation standards.
• Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems, enters technical findings, and prepares studies for physician reporting.
• Performs operator-level quality control checks, equipment cleaning, high-level disinfection, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT-accredited educational program with emphasis in radiologic technology.
• Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for CT Certification (ARRT); certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to apply core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, radiologic technology principles, and associated medical terminology.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, multi-task, and remain composed in stressful or emergent situations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and exercise sound judgment in handling confidential information.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
• Prior experience working in an acute inpatient, outpatient, or diagnostic imaging environment.
