Description Responsibilities The Specialist (Hardware) supports the production and assembly of advanced medical devices. This role involves a combination of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing skills to ensure proper assembly of components, subassemblies, and systems. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience working with adhesives, potting materials, mechanical assemblies, and complex electromechanical systems. Perform precision electro‑mechanical assembly of medical device components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions. Mix and apply adhesives, sealants, and potting compounds following safety, process, and quality standards. Assemble and test complex mechanisms and carts, including wiring, alignment, and mechanical integration. Read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of materials. Conduct in‑process inspections to ensure assemblies meet dimensional and functional specifications. Safely operate tools such as torque drivers, soldering stations, epoxy dispensers, and measuring instruments. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify and resolve assembly or design issues. Maintain documentation and records for traceability and regulatory compliance. Job Qualifications Associate degree in Electro‑Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of hands‑on experience in electro‑mechanical assembly or manufacturing, preferably in the medical device or regulated industry. Familiarity with adhesives, potting materials, and fluid handling techniques. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and follow detailed work instructions. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Experience with ESD‑safe practices. Experience with capital equipment and piezo devices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
