Job Description
The Patient Care Educator for the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University-Knoxville (DCOM at LMU-Knoxville) is responsible for providing learning support and instruction for osteopathic medical students in the areas of clinical and interpersonal skills, teamwork, communications, etc. through simulation and formative/summative evaluation. Required Qualifications
Nursing (LPN, RN or BSN) , certified military medic (E4 or above), paramedic or related experience (at least3 years). Preferred Qualifications
Recent experience as an educator or skills instructor; *knowledge and expertise in medical surgical; *experience with life support and other clinical skills training; *experience with simulation as an educational tool or with hi-fidelity simulation manikins preferred but not required. willing to acquire certification and serve as an BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor as appropriate Job Duty
work within state and federal codes, statutes and regulations that govern Tennessee Job Duty
participate on university committees Job Duty
complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites Job Duty
