About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Government and Strategic Relations to serve as a key advisor, advancing institutional priorities through engagement with a wide range of external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and advising on legislative, regulatory, and public policy developments, as well as coordinating the College's government relations strategy. This role involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with elected officials, government agencies, business leaders, and community stakeholders, and leading efforts to secure and manage engagement opportunities. The Executive Director will also collaborate with internal leaders to ensure that the College's strategic plan is effectively represented and will serve as a liaison between the institution and external constituencies. Applicants must have a Master's degree in a relevant field or a Bachelor's degree with substantial work experience, and a minimum of 7 years' leadership experience in government, higher education, public policy, or related fields. The role requires excellent communication skills, exceptional political acumen, and the ability to influence and coordinate across organizational boundaries. The Executive Director will be expected to travel frequently and work evenings and weekends as necessary. Responsibilities also include leading special projects, promoting the College's reputation, and ensuring compliance with lobbying registration and disclosure requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic thinking, organizational leadership, and effective community involvement.
