Material HandlerJELD-WEN is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our growing team. Job Title: Material Handler Location: Oceanside, CA Department/Group: Materials Reports To: Sr. Office Manager Hourly wage Starting at $23.30Job Description: Responsible for the safe operation of a Combilift forklift to move raw materials from trailers into and around the warehouse, cycle counting and system transactions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Follow established company safety policy & procedures.Accurately enter material transactions in SysproConduct daily cycle countsRead and understand production orders as it relates to materialsBecome proficient in recognizing materials by sight and/or product labelingUnload incoming material shipments and reconcile to paperworkMove materials around the warehouse as neededMaintain a clean and organized warehouseResponsible for scrap bins and bailerWork closely with all departments to ensure proper stocking levels and replenishmentPerform daily pre-operation checks of the forklift.Distinguish and report defective material.Able to mount and dismount the forklift on a frequent basis.Charge battery and/or refuel the forklift as needed.Have a flexible schedule when it comes to start and end times.Working the annual Physical Inventory is requiredWorking overtime as necessaryAdditional and Marginal Duties:May be required to work or assist in other areas throughout the facility.Equipment Use: Forklift, iPad, bar code scanner, computer, battery charger, propane swap outPerformance Standards: Must be able to efficiently move incoming and outgoing goods without damage to meet production schedules.
