About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at Reino Magico Child Care. This individual will be responsible for implementing curriculum, leading a teaching team, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for our Toddler program.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of early childhood development, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and parents.

With a passion for education and a commitment to quality care, the Lead Teacher will play a critical role in shaping the educational journey of our youngest students.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early learning standards and promote children's social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
• Lead by example, modeling effective teaching practices and encouraging a collaborative team environment.
• Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and conferences to ensure their needs are met.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities, safety standards, and cleanliness protocols.
• Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
• Create a healthy and safe classroom environment that fosters children's physical, emotional, and social well-being.
• Manage classroom operations, including record-keeping, filing, and staff supervision.
• Maintain a personal professional development plan to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date on best practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Infant/Toddler or Preschool CDA.
• Minimum 2 years of child care experience.
• Experience working with toddlers (18 months to 3 yrs old).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to pass a full background check.
• Requires frequent walking, using hands and fingers, handling objects, and hearing and speaking at various levels; may also require kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.
• Strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others.

• A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field would be an asset.
• The ideal candidate may have or be willing to pursue Infant/Toddler or Preschool CDA certification.
• Fluency in Spanish is a desirable skill.
• Supervisory experience and organizational abilities would be highly valued.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively would be an asset.
