POSITION OVERVIEW

The Mission-Critical HVAC Service Technician serves as a front-line representative of ITS, delivering exceptional service and technical support for critical cooling infrastructure throughout the region. This position combines hands-on technical expertise, customer relationship management, and problem-solving to ensure maximum uptime and reliability for our mission-critical customers.

This position is based in the Kansas City area and requires professionalism, accountability, technical aptitude, and a customer-first mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Service, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and commission precision cooling equipment supporting mission-critical facilities.

· Perform preventive maintenance, startups, warranty service, and quality assurance inspections on Vertiv/Liebert thermal management systems.

· Diagnose and support integration of equipment with onboard monitoring platforms and unit-to-unit communication and controls.

· Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers through exceptional communication and responsiveness.

· Provide accurate service reports, startup documentation, maintenance records, and administrative updates through company software systems.

· Identify equipment deficiencies and communicate repair recommendations and lifecycle improvement opportunities.

· Maintain company-issued vehicle, tools, and equipment in a professional and service-ready condition.

· Follow all OSHA, manufacturer, customer, and company safety requirements.

· Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and manufacturer training programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrates and exemplifies ITS Core Values

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· EPA 608 Universal Certification required.

· 3–5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.

· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Experience with precision cooling, controls, data centers, healthcare, telecommunications, or other critical facilities strongly preferred.

· Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

· Ability to safely work on rooftops, ladders, and elevated work areas.

· Ability to perform light-to-medium duty physical work with occasional heavy lifting.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

·

· Primarily based in Kansas City with occasional overnight travel.

· Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week.

· Overtime opportunities are available based on workload and customer requirements.

· While after-hours calls are infrequent, mission-critical environments occasionally require support outside normal business hours.

· Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
