Travel Nursing Job Details Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care Registered Nurse Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania Assignment Dates: November 2, 2026 – February 1, 2027 Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980–$2,080 Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week Shift: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, including Saturday and Sunday Holiday Requirement: Must work either Christmas or New Year’s Day and participate in the applicable holiday rotation Unit: 28-bed private-room cardiac stepdown unit Patient Population: Cardiac patients, dysrhythmias, CVAs, and patients transitioning from intensive care Documentation: EPIC Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania At least 1 year of recent acute-care or cardiac stepdown nursing experience Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and independently monitor telemetry Experience titrating Cardizem, nitroglycerin, dopamine, dobutamine, and heparin infusions Recent experience caring for patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, or high-flow oxygen Ability to provide an unexpired driver’s license during the credentialing process Willingness to float to the ICU in a helping-hands capacity when needed Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to progressive-care and high-acuity cardiac patients Assess, monitor, and respond to dysrhythmias, neurologic changes, and other acute clinical conditions Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with the care team to address changes in patient status Safely administer and titrate prescribed cardiac and anticoagulation infusions Manage patients receiving noninvasive ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy Perform ongoing assessments, medication administration, clinical documentation, and patient education Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary team members Support safe transitions for patients moving from intensive care to the stepdown setting Complete unit orientation with a preceptor and maintain compliance with clinical and safety standards Apply now for this Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse travel contract in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and take the next step in your travel nursing career.
