Remote Attorney - eCommerce/Data Privacy

We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join a Contract engagement supporting the legal oversight of a company’s digital presence. This role centers on reviewing website and e-commerce activities, with particular attention to customer data practices, online disclosures, and privacy-related obligations in multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will bring sound judgment, strong knowledge of privacy law, and the ability to deliver practical guidance that helps business teams manage legal risk effectively.Responsibilities:• Examine the company’s website and online sales platform to identify potential legal exposure and recommend appropriate risk-mitigation measures.• Analyze how customer information is gathered, used, and disclosed, and advise on whether those practices align with applicable legal standards.• Prepare, revise, and strengthen privacy notices, cookie disclosures, terms-related content, and other consumer-facing website statements.• Interpret privacy and compliance obligations across different regions and provide guidance on how requirements may vary by jurisdiction.• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to help ensure digital business practices remain consistent with relevant laws and regulatory expectations.• Offer practical legal recommendations to support compliant e-commerce operations while balancing business objectives.• Review online consumer-facing language and consent mechanisms to improve transparency and reduce regulatory risk.
