At Artisan Born, we don't manufacture mass-produced furniture. Every piece we create begins with carefully selected American hardwood slabs and is handcrafted into heirloom-quality furniture.

We're looking for a dependable CNC Wood Lathe Operator who enjoys working with wood, takes pride in precision craftsmanship, and wants to be part of a team dedicated to building exceptional furniture. Our shop specializes in premium walnut and white oak furniture, and every component plays an important role in the finished product.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Overtime opportunities may be available based on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC wood lathes.
• Load materials and monitor machine operation.
• Perform tool changes and basic machine adjustments.
• Read shop drawings and production work orders.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work closely with the production team to meet daily production goals.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment concerns.
• Help maintain Artisan Born's high standards for craftsmanship and quality.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC wood lathe experience preferred.
• Woodworking or furniture manufacturing experience is a strong plus.
• Experience operating CNC equipment such as Laguna, ShopSabre, Haas, or similar machines is preferred but not required.
• We are willing to train mechanically inclined individuals who have woodworking experience and a strong desire to learn.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and shop drawings.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and working in a manufacturing environment throughout the workday.
