*Responsibilities*

* Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose health issues in a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and equines.
* Perform surgical procedures with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and veterinary best practices.
* Administer treatments such as vaccinations, medication, and animal restraint to ensure safe and effective care.
* Handle animal restraint and management during examinations or procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff.
* Utilize veterinary terminology accurately while communicating diagnoses, treatment plans, and instructions to pet owners.
* Assist with laboratory testing, sample collection, and analysis to support accurate diagnoses.
* Apply knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy to develop effective treatment strategies for diverse cases.
* Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with veterinary standards and protocols.
* Support pet grooming, animal husbandry, and general animal care activities to promote overall health.
* Perform specialized procedures such as animal catheterization and laboratory techniques as needed.

*Qualifications*

* Veterinary degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure or certification to practice veterinary medicine.
* Proven veterinary experience with a focus on critical care is highly desirable.
* Strong animal handling skills across various species, including dogs, cats, and horses.
* Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
* Experience in animal restraint techniques, aseptic procedures, and laboratory work enhances your effectiveness in this role.
* Ability to perform pet grooming, pet care routines, and animal husbandry tasks confidently.
* Prior experience with equine care or extensive veterinary practice is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills for explaining complex medical information clearly to pet owners.
