Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a dependable Route Survey ("Route Scout") for a contract assignment supporting a roadway documentation project in the Clarion, PA area.

This is a field-based position focused primarily on driving designated routes and recording roadway conditions before equipment travels through the area. Extensive surveying experience is not required. The ideal candidate is reliable, comfortable spending significant time driving, and able to independently complete assigned routes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Drive designated roadway routes and document existing road conditions using vehicle-mounted GoPro cameras
• Record approximately 150 miles of roadway in the I-80/Clarion, PA area
• Ensure assigned routes are completely and accurately documented
• Assist with mounting and checking camera equipment before travel
• Organize, upload, and maintain roadway video files
• Support permit applications, paperwork, and other project-related administrative tasks during periods of poor weather
• Coordinate with the project team regarding completed routes and any roadway concerns
• Perform driving assignments only when weather and road conditions are appropriate

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to rent and operate a pickup truck
• Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable driving for extended periods
• Basic computer skills for uploading video files and completing documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow assigned routes
• Previous field, construction, transportation, inspection, surveying, or similar experience is helpful but not required

This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys field-based work and is comfortable working independently. Reliability, safe driving, and completing assigned work accurately are the most important qualifications for this position.
