Bartender

POSITION: Part‑time Bartender LOCATION: Pensacola, Florida FACILITY: ASM Global/Pensacola Bay Center and Pensacola Saenger Theatre REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager FLSA STATUS: Part‑Time Non‑Exempt SUMMARY: The Bartender is responsible for providing high quality customer service during all events to achieve customer satisfaction and accurate accounting of all transactions including inventory. A successful credit report and background screening is required. Responsibilities Sets up and services individual beverage locations. Properly handles cash and follows all liquor laws. Enforces liquor inventory management and verifies accounts. Maintains proper sanitation and safety practices in the work area. Provides pleasant and efficient service to customers. Reports to F&B personnel in appropriate uniform for assigned location. Prepares all beverage items for sale at assigned bar/location. Sells to customers, charging amount indicated on ASM Global price list. Receives and handles cash and/or tickets. Accurately verifies all cash and liquor inventory with supervisor. Verifies cash register programming according to ASM Global approved sales prices. Follows bar procedures, all rules and regulations that apply to beverage operations. Requests identification for every guest purchasing alcohol. Performs other related duties as assigned by Food Service Manager. Qualifications Prior bartending experience required. Minimum age 21 years. Ability to take directions and effectively perform work. Mathematical ability to count and handle money accurately. Basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures. English language proficiency for customer and staff communication. Pleasant personality and neat appearance. Standing/walking capability for duration of shift. Ability to carry and lift at least 40 lbs. Education and Experience Prior bartending experience required. Must have basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures. Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money. Must have basic working knowledge of bar operation and ability to follow directions. Skills and Abilities Customer service-oriented attitude at all times. Knowledge of sanitary practices. Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards. Strong work ethic and urgency in a team environment. Works effectively with other staff members. Accomplishes multiple tasks and pays attention to detail. Work Hours Flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Must work in a fast‑paced food service environment under crowded and loud conditions. Physical Demands The position requires standing for long hours, moving around the facility, stooping and lifting at least 40 lbs. Regularly require work inside or outside the building as needed for events.
