Located in La Canada Flintridge, CA, we’re looking for a talented and motivated Line Cook to join our amazing team and grow with us!

What You'll Do

As a Line Cook at Honeybird, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy high-quality, flavorful meals. You’ll be responsible for managing your assigned station, adhering to sanitation practices, and contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen. Here’s a closer look at your responsibilities:

Cooking and Preparation (75%)

Prepare and cook menu items with speed, efficiency, and precision.
Organize and maintain your workstation, ensuring it’s clean, safe, and fully stocked.
Follow recipes and ensure the freshness and quality of all food products.
Handle mise en place setup and maintain proper rotation of ingredients.
Expedite service periods as needed to meet ticket time expectations.
Inspect and finalize plated dishes to ensure proper preparation, plating, and presentation.
Assist with catering preparation and pickups when requested by your supervisor or manager.

Cleanliness and Safety (25%)

Monitor and report any unsafe working or food safety conditions to management.
Inspect refrigerators and freezers daily to ensure compliance with food safety and health standards.
Maintain proper labeling, dating, and storage of all food products.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring a combination of culinary skill, teamwork, and discipline. Here’s what we’re seeking in our next Line Cook: - Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role. - Skills: Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and sanitation practices. Familiarity with degrees of doneness for meats is a plus. - Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. - Self-Motivation: A disciplined and proactive approach to your work.
