The Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team partners to maintain robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) to ensure fast, accurate service. As an Area Maintenance Manager, you will lead a maintenance team to ensure safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. You will develop maintenance strategies, solve complex challenges, and create a culture that empowers technicians to perform at their best. You will blend strategic planning, hands-on problem-solving, and team leadership while managing preventative maintenance programs, coordinating with operations, and responding to emergencies with quick, decisive action. Key responsibilities Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of service technicians and automation engineers, fostering professional growth and performance Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures during maintenance activities across the site Design and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs that enhance operational efficiency Manage and coordinate external contractors while maintaining high-quality service standards Monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics and partner with applicable teams to address system performance issues and provide analysis across operations Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time experience Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience 2+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience 2+ years of CMMS experience 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or Six Sigma Black Belt certification Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems Experience in project management Experience with statistical analysis Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
