In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world's leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our AEC Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.
- Assist project managers in early project planning including bidder selection and gathering budgetary quotations
- New supplier and subcontractor qualification and setup
- Uphold strong ethical standards and generally accepted procurement practices
- Define and implement data driven strategies to mitigate risk, reduce spending, improve cash flows, and optimize the firm's financial performance
- Support client trust initiatives for procurement activities within projects
- Maintain strong working relationships with the Design Group team, clients, and outside vendors/contractors
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs to qualified suppliers including working with other functional groups to gather all required documents and data
- Determine and maintain bid schedules in accordance with project schedules
- Prepare commercial bid comparisons and supporting terms to establish solid recommendations for purchase order or contract award
- Prepare requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with negotiated terms and agreements, with appropriate technical and fiduciary approvals
- Facilitate Kickoff Meetings and maintain open communication between suppliers and project teams
- Monitor vendor compliance with contract terms and project requirements
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues impacting things such as performance, schedule, quality, and invoice discrepancies; and drive corrective actions where needed
- Escalate any significant issues that require intervention or awareness
- Expedite, track, route, and distribute required vendor documentation
- Coordinate logistics and transportation with strong understanding of Incoterms 2025
- Expedite and track materials and equipment to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain accurate and complete purchasing records in accordance with record retention procedures
5+ years capital procurement or supply chain experience
Strong negotiation skills for commercial terms and strong analytical skills to assess purchasing history
Excellent communication and listening skills; ability to work cross-functionally; comfort and experience presenting and collaborating with senior leaders
Strong change management skills and self-awareness to take varying approaches with a dynamic set of stakeholders in a complex matrix organization
Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to consider nontraditional approaches as the function, business needs, and the industry evolves
Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work in teams and gather vendor/subcontractor input for optimizing project performance
A willingness to travel for project requirements including project site visits and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
Experience working on large commercial projects (both greenfield and brownfield/renovations)
Experience with light industrial / manufacturing projects in Food & Beverage or Life Sciences space would be a plus
Self-motivated individual with good written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, & Project)
Experience with Procore, TradeTapp, or IFS is preferred
BS degree in Supply Chain Management and/or procurement certifications are a plus.
