Details Work setting is a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low-risk antepartum, and OB-GYN surgical cases Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1–3 Performs a wide range of procedures including blood/blood product administration, epidural pump management, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, and drains Administers high-risk medications including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries Responsibilities span circulating, scrubbing, pre-op, post-op, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery EMR: Epic (required) Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM Floating required to postpartum and NICU based on skill set; travelers may also be required to float between facilities within the state Requirements Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting Full SSN and DOB required for consideration First-time travelers are not eligible for this position Additional Information Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Former permanent employees of any Providence facility other than Swedish are eligible if separated for at least 3 months; former Swedish permanent employees must be separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Candidates who have previously worked at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must disclose the location and dates of that employment Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of the assignment Minimal RTO is expected for this position American Traveler Job ID #P-719621.
