Overview The barista greets guests, answers questions, and makes helpful suggestions regarding coffee and food choices. The barista crafts high-quality beverages following company drink recipes and procedures. The barista maintains the cleanliness of the coffee shop and follows safety standards. The barista must be proficient on a computer and able to operate a cash register and count change. Responsibilities Greet guests, answer questions, and provide helpful recommendations for coffee and food selections. Prepare beverages according to company recipes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the coffee shop environment. Operate the cash register, process transactions, and count change accurately. Qualifications High school diploma preferred. One year of experience working with a cash register preferred. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Required Registration/Certification Must pass SRHC Barista Certification upon completion of orientation.
