Account Specialist Bloomfield, NE 68718 Job Number: 296870 Pay Rate: $50,000 - $75,000 annually based on experience Job Description General Accounting Specialist Direct Hire Advance Services is hiring for a Direct Hire General Accounting Specialist! Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a long-term opportunity? This position is a great fit for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience with accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting. What You'll Do: Review, verify, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and on time. Match invoices with purchase orders, receiving documents, and supporting paperwork. Process payment runs and resolve invoice discrepancies or vendor questions. Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and ACH information. Enter and maintain financial and operational data in accounting systems. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documentation. Assist with audits, tax filings, 1099 processing, sales tax, and other reporting. Maintain fixed asset records. Provide purchasing and administrative support as needed. Answer phones, assist visitors, and maintain organized electronic and paper files. Provide backup support to other accounting functions and assist with special projects. Maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and business information. What We're Looking For: 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or related experience. Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Experience with accounting software and financial systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office programs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational, data entry, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Industry experience in agriculture, transportation, manufacturing, or livestock is a plus! Why Apply?
