Area Safety Supervisor

Services include on‑site OSHA consulting, pre‑task safety planning, full safety program development, and safety training. Divine Safety supports a wide range of sectors, including general contracting, civil and industrial construction, trades, demolition, and manufacturing, for both union and non‑union workforces. Role Description The Area Safety Supervisor is a contract role responsible for overseeing and supporting safety practices across multiple jobsites in the Greater Seattle Area in a traveling capacity, with a mix of on‑site presence and some work from an office. This role involves conducting regular site visits, performing safety inspections and audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. The Area Safety Supervisor will lead and facilitate safety meetings, provide on‑the‑spot coaching to crews and supervisors, and assist with pre‑task planning and job hazard analyses. They will investigate incidents and near‑misses, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. The role also includes assisting with the development and implementation of safety programs, training materials, and reports that support a strong, proactive safety culture. Qualifications Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with practical experience applying regulations and standards on active jobsites. Proficiency in Safety Training, including delivering toolbox talks, orientations, and targeted field coaching for diverse teams. Knowledge of Safety Engineering principles and risk assessment methods to identify hazards and recommend effective controls. Experience in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, documentation, and development of corrective and preventive actions. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and construction or industrial safety best practices; relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CHST, CSP, or equivalent) are highly preferred. Proven ability to build trust and influence behaviors at all levels, from field crews to site leadership, with clear and respectful communication skills. Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities in the Greater Seattle Area, with reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
