As a remote team member, you will engage with clients primarily in an outpatient clinic dedicated to pain management. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for adult clients presenting with various psychological concerns at the outpatient pain clinic.

  • Provide individual therapy focusing on addressing the complex interplay of emotional and physical pain, utilizing techniques drawn from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

  • Facilitate weekly psychoeducational classes for groups, guiding discussions around pain management strategies, coping mechanisms, and the emotional components of chronic pain.

  • Monitor and evaluate clinical progress through brief individual therapy sessions for participants in the Functional Rehabilitation Program (FRP) to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

  • Implement best practices in pain psychology and refer clients to additional modalities when appropriate, ensuring a holistic approach to care.

  • Document all client interactions meticulously in our EMR system to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will focus on a diverse caseload of adult clients who are managing the psychological repercussions of workplace injuries. Many individuals may experience conditions related to chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and trauma, requiring a nuanced understanding of these complex issues. A specific emphasis will be placed on fostering strong therapeutic relationships, offering empathetic support, and helping clients navigate both their physical and emotional healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • An active California LCSW license is essential for this position.

  • A minimum of two years of professional experience working with individuals experiencing psychological distress, particularly in the context of chronic pain management.

  • Experience in delivering Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
