Flatt Veterinary Clinic is a well-established, client-centered small animal practice providing comprehensive veterinary services including preventive and wellness care, surgery and anesthesia, diagnostics and in-house laboratory services, dental procedures, and urgent and medical case management.Our team culture emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement. We are committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where veterinary professionals can refine their craft and grow long-term.This position is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant who is confident supporting anesthesia and surgery, enjoys client education and communication, thrives in a fast-paced small animal practice, wants to continue building technical skills, and is interested in long-term career growth.Required Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED required, strong working knowledge of small animal medicine, proficiency in veterinary software (AVImark, Cornerstone, or similar), excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to lift and restrain patients safely, and strong attention to detail and medical math accuracy.Preferred Qualifications include credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT), Veterinary Assistant certification (CVA), experience in dentistry, radiology, or surgical monitoring, and 2 years of veterinary clinical experience.Key Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures, preparing patients for surgery and supporting anesthesia induction and monitoring, performing venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection, conducting in-house laboratory testing (CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, cytology), assisting with radiographs and diagnostic imaging, monitoring patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, accurately calculating medication dosages and preparing prescriptions, maintaining surgical suite sterility and clinic cleanliness, obtaining and documenting thorough medical histories, educating clients on preventive care, vaccines, medications, and post-operative instructions, providing compassionate communication during both routine and difficult visits, supporting follow-up communication and appointment coordination, maintaining detailed and compliant medical records, supporting inventory management and medication tracking, processing transactions and assisting with billing as needed, and contributing to workflow efficiency and clinic organization.Schedule/Availability: Monday - Friday 8-5, every other Saturday 8-12pm (one weekday off to accommodate Saturday schedule shift - TBD).Why Join Flatt Veterinary Clinic?
