Position Health Care Aide - Stepping Forward Salary Range $14.42 - $21.23 per hour; based on the IISPA Master Agreement (26/27 wage scale TBD) Affiliation Ionia Intermediate Support Personnel Association (IISPA) Reports To Administrator of Accountability & Program Improvement About the Role This position involves working directly with students and school staff to provide prompting, academic modification, and behavior support as needed. It assists the classroom teacher with instructional activities and skill acquisition programming. Qualifications Desired High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to interact with professionals and health care aides in providing a positive educational experience for students. Physical ability to safely lift students as needed: 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to push and pull heavy objects; repeatedly kneel, bend, twist or stand for long periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, and other physical requirements when necessary.
