Our collaborative culture and our innovative, sustainable approach to projects help us create buildings that matter to our world.Together, we are enhancing the quality of life globally through design.Join us and design your place with Stantec.Your OpportunityWe are looking for an Experiential Graphic Designer to join our Houston Branding, Graphics & Experience Design Team, while supporting our other BGX Designers nationwide.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with multi-disciplinary design team (branding & graphics, interior architecture, architecture) to develop strategies and document graphic solutions that will extend our client’s brand story into the built environment.Using brand and identity, as well as the architectural look and feel of a project as the foundation, design concepts for touchpoints such as interior and exterior signage & wayfinding, thematic & specialty graphics, visioning and experiences for academic facilities, hospitality venues, residential & multi-family properties, commercial & workplace spaces, parks & cultural institutions, sports & entertainment experiences, retail developments and aviation projects.Develop Signage and Wayfinding Programming Documents (Location Plans and Message Schedules), develop and expand signage and graphics design concepts, detail signage drawings that document designs for fabrication and installation within architectural and landscape settings.Your Capabilities and CredentialsKnowledge and understating of architectural drawings and processUnderstanding of materials and methods required for signage fabrication and installationSignificant knowledge and interest in typography and color is a plusProfessional demeanor, positive attitude, eagerness for learning and knowledge-sharing in a collaborative studioStrong communication skills and the ability to receive and deliver constructive critiqueAbility to work within a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to creative excellencePortfolio demonstrating a strong design sensibility and typographic skillsExpertise in Adobe Creative Suite and CADDToolsRevit, FileMaker and/or WayfindIt experience is a plusEducation and ExperienceA bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design, communication or environmental design is preferred, but candidates from the architectural or interior architectural disciplines are always a welcome addition to the team.4+ years of professional work experience with a focus in signage, wayfinding, and experiential graphic design preferredThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.About StantecStantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
