Role Description The Director of Clinical Operations is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Newport Beach, CA, overseeing daily clinical activities across OC Fertility® + OC Biogenix®. This role manages clinical workflows, patient scheduling, and coordination between physicians, nurses, embryology teams, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. The director develops and implements clinical protocols, monitors quality metrics, ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance, and drives continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and patient experience. Daily responsibilities include supervising clinical staff, managing staffing levels and training, overseeing the integration of new treatments or technologies, and collaborating with leadership on strategic initiatives and resource planning. The role also involves budget oversight for clinical operations, performance reporting, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and compassionate care. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in clinical operations management, including workflow optimization, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. IVF and fertility treatment knowledge is highly desired. Background in medicine or clinical development, with the ability to interpret clinical protocols and collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical teams. Experience in oncology or related specialty areas is beneficial, particularly in complex, multidisciplinary patient care settings. Understanding of clinical trials processes and research operations, including patient safety, data integrity, and coordination with investigators. Proven leadership skills, including team management, staff development, and cross-functional collaboration in a clinical environment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in using clinical and operational data to guide decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff, and external partners. Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field required; advanced degree (e.g., RN, MSN, MHA, MPH, or equivalent) preferred. Prior leadership experience in fertility, reproductive medicine, women’s health, or similar clinical settings is highly desirable.
