Criminal Paralegal Full Time Clerical Dallas, TX, US 7 days ago Requisition ID: 1288 OVERVIEW : Manuel Diaz Law Firm, PC. is seeking a dynamic, self-starting individual with vision, initiative, and a demonstrated commitment to serve as a Bilingual (Spanish) Paralegal in the Criminal Department. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP : Reports to the Managing Attorney for the Criminal Department. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The Paralegal will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc. Administratively support and attend trials when needed Prepare case briefs and summarize depositions, interrogatories and testimony Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research Locate and develop case relevant information Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence Answer and direct phone calls Maintain contact lists Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars Translations (In-office and Out-of-Office) Qualifications & Skills 2 or more years' experience as paralegal or legal assistant in Criminal Law Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office Proficiency in English and Spanish Working knowledge of case management software Excellent secretarial and organizational skills Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure HOURLY PAY : Based on applicant’s years of relevant experience.
