Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Position Information:

Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Specialty: Respiratory
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: Nights, 3x12, 1830 - 0700
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Weekend Hours: As required by the facility
Call Requirements: As required by the facility

Qualifications:

Required Licensure: RRT, licensed with the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care
Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
Preferred Certifications: PALS
Years of Experience: 1 year

Unit Information:

Number of Beds: Licensed for 767 beds
Patient Ratios: Based on a point system and dependent on staffing
Equipment: Avea ventilators, LTV transport, V60 Bipap with Bellavista, Vapo therm, and Airvo for high flow
EMR: EPIC

Hiring Profile:

Essential Skills/Experience: Adult Critical Care, High Volume Busy ED with Trauma experience
Preferred Skills/Experience: Blood gas draw, blood gas processing on GEM, Blood gas interpretation
Type of Patients: Respiratory patients throughout various units, including SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, Trauma patients
Personality Fit: Strong, confident therapist with good time management skills who is willing to assist coworkers as time permits.

Dress Code:

Scrub Color: Black
Acceptable Attire: Mercy standard scrubs must be black

Additional Information:

Pediatric patients are stabilized in the ED and transported to another facility.
