Mechanical Designer

Mechanical Designer The Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating layouts and designs for all company products. This role involves processing custom-engineered crane and fall protection systems to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Responsibilities: Measure and reverse-engineer existing production fixtures and jigs. Draw specification documentation for existing fixtures and jigs. Create scaled drawings within the proper company title blocks required for fabrication or purchasing using AutoCAD or SolidWorks software. Check own work for quality. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Engineering Manager to accomplish project deliverables. Qualifications: Proficiency in general engineering drafting techniques, terminology, geometry, methods, and practices. Ability to use basic metrology equipment (e.g., dial calipers). Experience with SolidWorks. Exceptional organizational skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Education: Minimum 2-year CAD degree or equivalent. Working electromechanical product knowledge preferred but not required. Physical Requirements: The position requires sitting for extended periods and communicating with factory/shop team members as needed.
