Med Surg/Tele RN

Location: Tuscaloosa, AL
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Options: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

Note: There are multiple openings across AL & Compact Licenses are also accepted for this role.

Compensation 36-Hour Weekly Pay Package

• Total Gross:   From $2,150.00/week

48-Hour Weekly Pay Package

• Total Gross:   From $2,900.00/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment. The RN will provide patient care in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver safe and effective patient care.

Requirements

• 2 years of nursing experience preferred ; candidates with 18 months may be considered.
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg/Telemetry specialty experience .
• ASN degree required.
• Current Alabama or Compact RN License required.
• Temporary RN licenses are not accepted.
• AHA or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification required.
• Must successfully pass a Dysrhythmia Basic examination .
• Must be willing to float to other units and/or hospitals as needed.

Schedule & Unit Details

• 12-hour shifts.
• Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holidays as required.
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6 .
• Meditech electronic charting system.
• Overtime applies after 48 hours .
• Flexibility to float to other units/hospitals is required.
