K-8 Admissions Manager

Job Summary Valley Christian Schools is seeking a dynamic and motivated Admissions Manager for our K‑8 campus. This role involves guiding prospective students and families through the admissions journey with excellence, care, and professionalism. Role and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee an admissions and retention plan to enroll 660 K‑8 students short‑term and 900 long‑term. Serve as the primary point of contact for all new K‑8 student inquiries and manage the entire admissions process so each inquiry ends in a yes or no. Organize and manage prospective family Open House events, new‑family orientation, student events and summer connect events. Establish recruitment strategies to attract and retain mission‑appropriate students and families. Continuously evaluate and update application and re‑enrollment processes and materials. Promote Valley Christian at feeder schools and community opportunities with the Communications Office. Manage recruitment tables at on‑ and off‑campus events, school fairs, visiting schools and churches, and accompany school groups at visits or performances. Build strategic relationships with churches, feeder schools (events, shadow days), public/charter schools. Leverage word‑of‑mouth within families’ communities. Educate families on the STO program and scholarship opportunities. Work with registrar and support staff to ensure timely and proper application processing. Schedule and conduct family tours, student shadows and meetings. Schedule admissions interviews between new students and administrative staff as needed. Adhere to Valley Christian policies, procedures and codes. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and consistent testimony. Agree to uphold Valley Christian’s Mission & Beliefs and Statement of Faith. Faithfully attend and financially support a local church aligned with the school’s beliefs. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated professionalism with attire, responsiveness, collaboration, positivity, and acting as a representative. Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills; ability to quickly develop authentic relationships with families. Ability to consider, create, and implement systems and processes that increase efficiency and productivity. Enthusiastic supporter of Christian education; high energy and positivity. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and related software. Work independently with little supervision while maintaining humility and willingness to follow directions. Multi‑tasking and organizational skills. Valid level one IVP fingerprint card and Arizona driver license. Sound judgment, initiative, and discretion under varying conditions. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with outside vendors and businesses. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) in a related field. Preferred Skills Professional experience in admissions, sales, or business development. Prior relevant experience. Physical Requirements Work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings. Stand and walk at events for prolonged periods. Lift up to 25 pounds when necessary. Travel within state between campuses, to vendors, and related events. Background Check Statement VCS conducts pre‑employment screening for all positions, which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications.
