Director of Communications

This position is with Vermilion Valley RECJA Roles and Responsibilities Administrative and financial responsibilities Emergency Telephone Systems Board Secretary Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Provides budgetary input and assists in monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budget Assist in developing long- and short-range plans, goals, and objectives for the Center. Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Recommend improvements as required. Oversee all personnel matters. Assist in ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, and statutes concerning 911 at a local, State, and Federal level. Includes attending meetings as required. Assist in the maintenance of all 911 system equipment including Computer Aided Dispatch, Mapping, Telephone system, and Public Safety Radio. Create, update, and maintain policies.
