About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred License: SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Epic experience Description: Position/Specialty: MedSurg RN. Shift: 4x12s, Nights 7p-7:30a. Ratios: 1:6-7. Staffing plan supports 1:6 normal ratios, but if there is an unplanned absence that cannot be covered, the unit will flex to 1:7. Weekend requirement: Yes, every other weekend. On-call requirement: Yes, prn low census. Required to float within scope to meet facility needs and float between like units/sister facilities. First-time travelers accepted. Certifications preferred: ACLS, NIHSS. Special requirements: Epic experience. Skills required include: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin management, Rapid Response. Daily patient diagnoses include typical adult medical surgical diagnoses. Patient age groups: Adults, Geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support available includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. Special procedures involve a general medical surgical unit. Typical staff ratios: 6-7 patients per nurse.
